[1] I would give them a raise and not allow them to use mercury. I would make the working a little easier.
[2] in the circle of compassion would be me, my family, my friends, and the people that are suffering, including the kids in the "children mine gold in Africa."

If you include child laborers in your circle of compassion, what could you do to help them? Write a letter? Boycott gold? Make sure any gold items you might buy in the future are made without child labor? There's a lot that we can do, even if we don't own the mines ourselves! What do you think?
